How much does it cost to rent a scooter in Canggu?
With us the price is one flat rate per engine class: IDR 100k a day for 110 to 125 cc, 200k for 150 to 160 cc, 500k for 250 cc and 750k for bikes over 250 cc. Weekly and monthly rates are lower per day, ask us on WhatsApp. See our price guide.
How do I book a bike?
Check the live calendar on the home page, choose your dates, and send the request on WhatsApp. We reply with availability and the final price.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. It depends on the class: IDR 500,000 for small and medium bikes, 1,000,000 for 250 cc bikes and 3,000,000 for premium bikes. See our rental terms.
Can I extend my rental?
Yes. Message us before your end date and we extend it, usually at the longer-rental rate.
Do you offer monthly rentals?

What is the cheapest bike to rent in Canggu?
Our cheapest bikes are the Honda Scoopy and the Yamaha Fazzio at IDR 100k a day, with delivery inside Canggu and helmets included.
Is delivery really free?
Yes, inside Canggu: Batu Bolong, Berawa, Echo Beach, Pererenan and Seseh. For other areas, ask us on WhatsApp.
Are helmets included?
Yes. One or two helmets come with every rental.
Can I rent a scooter for just one day?
Yes. Rentals start from one day, and longer rentals cost less per day.
Is there a discount for a week or a month?
Yes. Weekly and monthly rates are lower per day. Message us your dates and the bike you want.
How do I know if a bike is available?
Use the live calendar on our home page. Pick a bike and your dates, and send the request on WhatsApp.
Can I reserve a bike before I arrive in Bali?
Yes. Message us your arrival date, the bike you want and the name of your accommodation, and we confirm availability and the price.
How do I pay for the rental?
You can pay by bank transfer or in cash. We confirm the details on WhatsApp.
Do prices change in high season?
The prices on this site are the prices we quote. In busy weeks, such as late December, bikes go quickly, so book early.
Do you rent by the hour?
Our rentals are by the day. Message us if you need something shorter and we will see what we can do.
Can I change bikes during my rental?
Ask us on WhatsApp. If another bike is available we can often arrange a swap.
License and rules
Do I need a license to rent a scooter in Bali?
Yes. Visitors normally carry their home license plus an International Driving Permit that covers motorcycles. Read our license guide.
Can I ride a bike over 250 cc?
Bikes above 250 cc may need a matching license category. Tell us your license on WhatsApp so we can confirm the right bike.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Yes, the rider and the passenger. Our rentals include two helmets.
What side of the road do they drive on?
On the left.
What is the minimum age to rent a scooter?
You must be at least 18 years old.
Can I use my car license to rent a scooter?
A car-only license does not cover a motorbike in most countries. You need a motorbike license, or an International Driving Permit that includes the motorcycle category.
Do I need an International Driving Permit?
Visitors normally carry their home license together with an International Driving Permit that covers motorcycles. Holders of an Indonesian motorbike license (SIM C) use that.
What do I need to rent a scooter in Canggu?
A valid passport or ID card, a valid motorbike license (international or Indonesian), the deposit for your bike class, and you must be at least 18.
Do you check my license?
We ask about your license and your riding experience when you book, and we may ask to see your documents at handover.
Can my friend ride the bike too?
Only the authorised drivers named in the rental agreement may ride the bike. Ask us before someone else rides.
Can I ride after drinking?
No. Never ride after drinking. It is dangerous and illegal.
What should I do if the police stop me?
Stay calm and polite, and show your license and the bike papers. A valid license and a fastened helmet avoid most problems.
Delivery and return
Do you deliver to my villa or hostel?
Yes, free across Canggu: Batu Bolong, Berawa, Echo Beach, Pererenan and Seseh. See the delivery areas.
Can you deliver outside Canggu?
Ask us on WhatsApp. Delivery to Seminyak and nearby areas can often be arranged.
How does the pickup work?
When you are done, message us. We collect the bike from your door in Canggu.
What time do you deliver?
We deliver every day within our opening hours. Tell us the time you want on WhatsApp.
Do you deliver to hotels and hostels?
Yes. We deliver to villas, hotels, hostels and coworking spaces across Canggu.
What if I am not there when you collect the bike?
Leave the bike locked in the agreed place and message us. Never leave the key in the bike.
Can someone else take delivery of the bike?
Yes, if you tell us who it is. The bike is handed over after the check with that person.
Can I return the bike somewhere else?
Pickup happens at your door inside Canggu. If you need a different return point, tell us when you book.
The bikes
Which scooter is best for a beginner?
A light automatic like the Honda Scoopy or Yamaha Fazzio. See how to choose.
Which bike is best for two people?
A Honda Vario 160 or PCX 160 for daily riding, or a Yamaha XMAX 250 for longer distances.
Are the bikes automatic?
All our scooters are automatic. The trail bikes (CRF150L, CRF250 Rally), the sport bikes (Ninja 250, CBR250RR, Z400, Duke 390) and the Royal Enfield Classic 350 are manual.
Is the price the same for every bike in a class?
Yes. Each class has one flat daily price, so inside a class you choose on comfort and style.
How many people can ride a scooter?
Most scooters carry a rider and one passenger. Sport bikes can carry a passenger, but they are not comfortable for two.
Which scooter has the most storage?
The Honda PCX 160 and the Yamaha XMAX 250 have the larger under-seat compartments.
Do you have 250 cc bikes?
Yes: Yamaha XMAX 250, Kawasaki Ninja 250, Honda CBR250RR and Honda CRF250 Rally, at IDR 500k a day.
Do you have a bike for off-road tracks?
Yes. The Honda CRF150L (medium) and the Honda CRF250 Rally (big) are trail bikes. The ADV 160 also copes well with rough lanes.
What is the best bike for a short rider?
The Honda Scoopy and the Yamaha Fazzio have the lowest seats.
What is the best bike for a tall rider?
Bigger bikes such as the Yamaha XMAX 250, Honda ADV 160 or Honda Forza 350 have more room.
Do the bikes have ABS?
It depends on the model and version. Ask us about the bike you want.
Can I choose the colour of the bike?
Colours vary by bike. Tell us your preference and we will do our best.
What is the difference between the medium and big classes?
Medium bikes are 150 to 160 cc scooters and a trail bike at IDR 200k a day. Big bikes are 250 cc at IDR 500k a day, with more power for highways and long days.
On the road
What if the bike breaks down?
Message us on WhatsApp with your location. We send help or swap the bike.
Who pays for fuel?
You do. We hand over the bike with some fuel and you return it at the same level.
What should I check before I ride away?
Brakes, tyres, lights, mirrors and the registration papers, and photograph any existing damage. See our rental checklist.
Is it safe to ride in Canggu?

Which fuel should I use?
Most scooters run on Pertalite or Pertamax from a Pertamina station. Ask us which fuel your bike needs. See our glossary for the difference.
What if I get a flat tyre?
Message us on WhatsApp with your location. We help you get the bike fixed or swapped.
What should I do after an accident?
Move to safety, call emergency services if someone is hurt, take photos, message us with your location and contact your insurer.
Can I ride at night?
Yes, but unlit roads and tiredness make it riskier. Use your lights, ride slowly and keep a larger gap.
Can I take the bike on a ferry to another island?
Our bikes are for use in Bali. Tell us before you plan a ferry trip.
Is it safe to leave the bike parked?
Park in marked areas, lock the steering, take your helmet with you and leave no valuables in the seat storage.
Is it safe for a beginner to rent a scooter in Bali?
It is riskier. Choose a light automatic, practise on quiet roads and read our first-time rider guide.
Long stays
Is a monthly scooter rental cheaper?

Who services the bike during a monthly rental?
Ask us when you book a month. We explain how routine servicing works for your rental.
Can I extend a monthly rental?
Yes. Message us before the end date and we extend the rental, usually at the longer-rental rate.
Where should I park the bike at my villa?
Inside the gate or in a covered, lockable space if you can. Always lock the steering.
What happens if I leave Bali earlier than planned?
Message us as early as you can. The terms depend on your rental agreement.
Deposits and fees
How much is the deposit for each bike?
IDR 500,000 for small and medium bikes, IDR 1,000,000 for 250 cc bikes and IDR 3,000,000 for premium bikes. See our rental terms.
When do I get my deposit back?
When the bike comes back in the agreed condition, minus any agreed charges such as fuel.
How do I pay the deposit?
We confirm how to pay the deposit when you book.
What is the late return fee?
You have a 4-hour grace period. After that a full extra day may be charged, and keeping the bike beyond the agreed date without our agreement is charged at double the daily rate.
What is the cancellation policy?
A 50% cancellation fee applies if you cancel a booking. Tell us as early as you can.
Are there fuel charges?
The bike is delivered with a full tank. If it comes back with less, a fuel charge applies, depending on the class (from IDR 20k to 150k).
